The Logic of Currency Crises

There is no other electronic version available. What is offered here is a version that was scanned graphically, not as text, so that each page is one graphic image. There are four viewable versions, of which two are both viewable and printable.

CAVEAT: For people with text-only browsers or with slow modem connections, do not even try to view or download these images.

In the first version, all 25 pages of the reprint are scanned as images and converted to PDF. The document is both viewable and printable. The file is roughly 1.5MB in size, so depending on the speed of your modem connection, it may take a long time to download.

In the second version, the images are scanned as GIF files, and displayed in a browser, and the text is very large. The reader may become annoyed at having to move the display horizontally from left to right and back again. It will be very slow reading. Do not try to print these pages: browsers do a poor job of translating GIFs to postscript, and the resultant files will be huge (may overflow your printer's buffer), will take a long time to print, and will be of extremely poor quality. This option is provided for those readers who have a vision impairment that requires very large displays.

If you wish, you may download a zipped archive of all the GIF images to view locally in a graphics package. From a graphics package, printing would be slightly faster, but it is not recommended. The images were scanned at 300x300, and the printed quality is very poor.

In the third version, the images are stored as postscript files. In a browser these images will view at almost the same size as the printed page. These images can be printed directly from ghostview, on a postscript printer.
