Atif Mian is associate professor of economics in the department, and associate professor of finance and real estate in Haas business school at Berkeley. He is also a co-chair of the Fisher Center for real estate and urban economics at Haas. He received his bachelor's degree in Mathematics and PhD in Economics from MIT. Prior to joining Berkeley in 2009 he taught at the University of Chicago Booth School of business.
