rivers meet, the Allegheny, Monongahela, and the Ohio.
An historical landmark dating back to 1754 and the
French and Indian War. There remains the restored
Fort Pitt blockhouse, the oldest authentic building in
Western Pennsylvania, built in 1764 by Colonel Henry
Bouquet.
